![]() At the end of the day, it comes down to personal preference, because both browsers work just fine. I've been using bare IE6/7 for years, and never had any problems, so everybody who says IE sucks, just doesn't know how to use it. Internet Explorer isn't perfect, but most of the problems come from stupid users who don't know what they're doing, adding 500 million tool bars and plugins and got knows what, browsing everwhere and accepting anything that pops up. And afterall, if you code a site properly in the first place, it'll work propely in all browsers anyway, so what's the problem? Shiira has always been the browser we all have installed, play with when we're bored or need to test site compatibility, but never really use in day-to-day work. Seeing the screenshots of shiira 2.0 has gotten me really interested in what's to come. I do love webkit and the idea of shiira (and omniweb) which is using webkit and focusing on browser features. And the same goes for the other way around, a website needs to work with Firefox too, because it's steadily getting more popular. I've never been a fan of shiira as it's a pretty ugly looking browser IMO. The fact of the mater is that the majority of people (normal every day people, not pc geeks) still use IE6 / IE7, so ignoring those users and making a website that only works Firefox is just stupid. Being a pompus git, sitting on your high horse defending Firefox to the death, shouting off how IE doesn't do this, that and the other properly, is a total waste of time. Ive never been a fan of shiira as its a pretty ugly looking browser IMO.
